With the passing of CUET i.e. Common University Entrance Test, the struggle to enter the good college for students starts.
They have many questions in front of them. Like which college to choose, which course, or if you do not get admission in any desired college, then which options should be found.
It is important for all this that students know the correct process and they also understand the cutoff trend.
We tried to know the answers to these questions from some experts so that they would help the students to decide how they can get a seat in the best college or best course.

What is the biggest factor?
After the result, candidates can apply for admission in college or course of their choice according to their score.
After this, now every university issues its cutoff list.
According to Tulika Kapoor Krishna, who experiences more than 20 years in career counseling, students should be looking for a college where they are fit.
According to him, students should take care of many things before admission in any course.
Like, “Is we really interested in that course, have we been doing good in that subject till now? Is the course being found in a college where the faculty is really good? Is that college environment good, is there a good discipline and is there good placement?
What should be the priority of course or college?
There are some cases when a student is getting a course good but the college is not liked. Many times the situation is the opposite in which the course is disliked but the college is good branding.
But knowledgeable, students advise the students to always give more priority to the course than college.
Center for Career Development is a well-known name in the field of career counseling.
Its founder Jitin Chawla also advises students that they should keep the course up instead of college.
He says, “Every student knows the names of the top eight-nine colleges and everyone has to enroll in the same colleges. But if you are getting a good college other than them, then it should be kept in mind that the degree is the same for everyone.”
“Talking about DU, the name of a college is not written on the degree, it is the same for every student.”
According to Jitin Chawla, “Nowadays there is a time of skills and it depends on the students what kind of skills they are increasing inside themselves. Do they have an internship with a course, participated in an extra curricular activity, did the online course.”
He says, “If you are studying business, then you can also do digital marketing courses separately. If you are interested in finance, then Bombay Stock Act is an institute of BSE Institute, you can do a program from there. When you do all these things, you become a strong profile, not only from college.”
According to Tulika Kapoor Krishna, “Always keep the course above college. Because what will you do with such a degree, in which you are neither interested and you are not able to do anything good in it.”
“There is a balance between these two. Now it is not that it is not to go to the absolutely anonymous college. Always check what is the acceptance of that college, how is the placement in it.”
If you do not name the first list?
This time there were 36 state universities, 24 deemed and many private universities with CUET with 49 central universities in the country.
The first cutoff list of many big universities including Delhi University will come by the end of this week. However, even if there is no name in it, students have options left.
Jitin Chawla says, “If the name does not appear in the first list, then see the second universities. Ambedkar is the university, IP University. Considered, see private universities, see universities of other states. Like 100 colleges in Mumbai have the option of business management studies while Delhi is less.
What to do if CUET has less score?

Good or bad score is usually different for each course.
Jitin Chawla says that it may be good to go to 850 or above out of 1000 to go to the course of Psychology. But for any other course, more scores may also be required in the top college.
But if someone has a score of 600-650? Should a student be given CUET again next year or does they have any other option to improve the score?
Tulika Kapoor says that in such a situation, students should turn to another Central University, Private University or Deemed University.
Also, if no one is getting a course of choice due to low score, but the university is getting good, then Tulika Kapoor considers it better to enroll in this way.
She says, “If the desired course is not available but the college is being found then the admission should be taken at the moment. It may definitely be seen later what to do. But the seat got not wasted.”
Jitin Chawla has a similar advice. He believes that even on low score, students should start studying without waiting for next year. But they should increase their profile by doing some extra courses.
Tulika says that in the end it is most important what is the goal of career. The basis of education is that we read those so that good in career. If this is not happening then there is no benefit of anything.
